[비즈한국] Naver035420 will terminate its 'Related Searches' service, which was provided at the top of integrated search results, on April 30. A notice titled 'Notice of Termination of Related Searches Service' was posted on Naver Search Advisor on April 6.

'Related Searches' is a feature that encourages follow-up exploration by suggesting terms frequently searched for alongside the user's input. Although it has been a signature feature on Naver's search screen for a long time, it will disappear from the top of integrated search results after the service ends at the end of this month.
This measure is in line with the trend of Naver Search shifting toward a generative AI-based structure. The Naver Search Customer Center explains that 'AI Briefing' is a feature that analyzes various web documents with AI to provide a summarized answer along with useful sources. It also suggests further questions selected by AI to assist with additional exploration.
Naver has recently strengthened 'AI Briefing' and 'Related Questions' features across its search services. As a result, the search result screen is changing from the conventional method of listing keywords to induce further searches to a format that summarizes information at the top and links exploration to follow-up questions. In line with these changes, Naver plans to expand the scope of 'AI Briefing' this year and has announced the launch of its conversational search service, 'AI Tab,' within the first half of the year.
As the core elements at the top of integrated search shift from keyword recommendations to AI-based summaries and follow-up questions, user search patterns are also expected to continue shifting from word-based searches to sentence or question-based queries.
