The registered trademarks include Korean and English (AiStudio) names and a symbolic graphic image (logo), and are separate from 'Clova Studio,' the AI development tool currently in operation.

The designated goods and services cover a broad spectrum of software, including AI, big data, and Large Language Models (LLM). This is interpreted as a move to secure rights protection ahead of the brand's future launch. A Naver Cloud official stated, "We have completed the trademark filing for an AI-related development tool."

According to the trademark description, AI Studio appears to be a form of LLM-based AI development platform. Industry insiders are focusing on the possibility that the new development tool will expand into an AI development platform with wider utility than existing services. Since 'AI'—rather than 'Clova'—is being placed at the forefront, there is speculation that it will be built as a more general-purpose enterprise development platform.

Three years ago, Naver Cloud absorbed organizations such as the Clova CIC, Whale Browser, Naver Works, and Papago, and was reorganized as the hub for the group's enterprise and B2B businesses. It was also recently included as a key platform in the list of 'Government-wide Hyper-scale AI Common Bases,' the world's first initiative of its kind launched by the government.
