[비즈한국] It has been confirmed that former Ourhome Chair Koo Mi-hyun recently purchased a commercial building in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, along with her children. Two months ago, former Chair Koo sold her entire stake in Ourhome to Hanwha000880 Group, alongside her brother, former Vice Chair Koo Bon-sung, and her children, Lee Seok-ju and Lee Kyung-ah. Hanwha Group invested a total of 869.5 billion KRW to acquire the shares from the four individuals, incorporating Ourhome as a group affiliate. The building purchased by former Chair Koo and her children is currently entirely vacant and appears slated for future reconstruction, leading to speculation that the former chair may use it as a new base for her business operations.

According to the real estate industry and the registry, former Ourhome Chair Koo Mi-hyun (50% stake) and her children Lee Seok-ju (15%) and Lee Kyung-ah (35%) purchased a neighborhood living facility building in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, for 6.8 billion KRW on the 2nd. The building consists of one basement level and four floors above ground (total floor area of 303㎡) and was completed in May 1990. Former Chair Koo and her children signed the sales contract in late June and completed the transfer of ownership just five days later. Given that no mortgage was placed on the property by a financial institution, it appears the purchase price was paid entirely in cash.
The building is currently understood to be vacant. Temporary construction barricades installed around the site suggest it will likely be reconstructed in the future. There is speculation that former Chair Koo Mi-hyun, who recently sold her Ourhome stake, may use the current building or the reconstructed one as a new business base. Former Chair Koo currently resides at Nine One Hannam, an apartment complex located directly across from this building. It is understood that no applications for demolition or construction permits have been filed for the property at this time.
Two months ago, former Chair Koo Mi-hyun sold her entire stake in Ourhome to Hanwha Group, along with her brother, former Vice Chair Koo Bon-sung, and her children, Lee Seok-ju and Lee Kyung-ah. Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, a service affiliate of Hanwha Group, signed a Stock Purchase Agreement (SPA) in February to acquire the 58.62% stake in Ourhome held by the four individuals. The total purchase price for the shares reached 869.5 billion KRW. Hanwha Hotels & Resorts completed the payment for the transaction in May, officially incorporating Ourhome as a Hanwha Group affiliate.
Ourhome was a comprehensive food company under the LG family. It was established in 2000 by the late former Chairman Koo Ja-hak, the third son of LG Group founder Koo In-hwoi, after separating from the LG Group. The company has grown by expanding into food service and food manufacturing businesses. The company's shares were previously held by the late Chairman Koo Ja-hak's eldest son, former Vice Chair Koo Bon-sung (38.56%), eldest daughter, former Chair Koo Mi-hyun (19.28%), second daughter, former Director Koo Myung-jin (19.6%), and third daughter, former Vice Chair Koo Ji-eun (20.67%). Until the sale of their stakes, the siblings were involved in a prolonged management dispute involving various shifting alliances.
