[비즈한국] It has been confirmed that Blue Corner Capital (formerly Welcome Capital), acquired by ST International, has relocated its headquarters to Daechi-dong. The new headquarters of Blue Corner Capital is located in a building owned by ST International. Most of ST International's major affiliates are headquartered in the ST SongEun Building in Cheongdam-dong, while its financial affiliate, Blue Corner, is located in another building in Cheongdam-dong. This means that among ST International's major affiliates, only two financial affiliates are headquartered in buildings other than the ST SongEun Building.

ST International is classified as an affiliate of the Samchully Group, which ranks 54th in the business world under the Fair Trade Act004690. However, it is managed independently. The Samchully Group was born from a partnership between the late honorary chairmen Lee Jang-kyun and Yoo Sung-yeon. Currently, Samchully is led by Lee Man-deuk, the second son of honorary chairman Lee Jang-kyun, while ST International is led by Yoo Sang-duk, the eldest son of honorary chairman Yoo Sung-yeon.
ST International is a specialized investment firm that invests in various sectors, including renewable energy, resource and energy infrastructure, and real estate. It notably owns several properties, representative of which are the ST SongEun Building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and the Samtan Building in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu.
According to BizHankook's investigation, ST International purchased the Sina Building, located right next to the Samtan Building, for 43.5 billion won in November 2023. The Sina Building is a structure with two underground floors and five floors above ground, with a total floor area of 2,729.5㎡ (approximately 825 pyeong). Blue Corner Capital has recently moved into this building.
After acquiring Blue Corner (formerly Seoul Technology Investment) in 2022, ST International entered the financial sector by acquiring Blue Corner Capital (formerly Welcome Capital) from Welcome Financial Group last November. Blue Corner is a venture capital firm, while Blue Corner Capital is a specialized credit finance company.
Since the acquisition, Blue Corner Capital has moved its office from the Welcome Financial Tower in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, to the Sina Building. According to the real estate register, Blue Corner Capital moved its headquarters to the ST International-owned Sina Building last December. However, specific terms of the real estate contract and whether it pays rent to ST International have not been confirmed.
Most of ST International and its subsidiaries have their headquarters in the ST SongEun Building in Cheongdam-dong. Blue Corner Capital is known to be the only affiliate currently housed in the Sina Building. The Sina Building also houses a screen golf range and a tax accounting firm.
Blue Corner Capital may expect synergy with its other financial affiliate, Blue Corner. However, there is some distance from the Blue Corner office. The Blue Corner headquarters is located in a different building in Cheongdam-dong, not the ST SongEun Building or the Sina Building. This building is owned by Yoo Yong-wook, vice president of ST International and the second son of Chairman Yoo Sang-duk, and it also houses a store providing restoration and repair services for Chanel products.
BizHankook contacted ST International to inquire about the background of Blue Corner Capital's headquarters relocation, but did not receive a response.
