'Craft Enthusiast' Purun Group Chairwoman Koo Hye-won Spotted Preparing to Open Craft Museum on Gyeongnidan-gil

[비즈한국] It has been determined that Purun Group Chairwoman Koo Hye-won established a private business, 'Purun CNC,' last March with plans to operate a museum. In February, she purchased a commercial building located on Gyeongnidan-gil for 7 billion won, and given that the headquarters of Purun CNC is registered there, it is expected that a museum will open on Gyeongnidan-gil in the near future.

It has been belatedly confirmed that Purun Group Chairwoman Koo Hye-won established the private business 'Purun CNC' on March 1 of last year. As it is a private business, Chairwoman Koo is the representative, and the headquarters is registered at the commercial building in Itaewon-dong's Gyeongnidan-gil, which she purchased under her personal name for 7 billion won in February. Chairwoman Koo registered the industry classification for Purun CNC as 'Museum Operations,' though details such as capital could not be identified due to its status as a private business. It is expected that a museum will soon open in the Gyeongnidan-gil building, and analysts suggest that given the inclusion of 'Purun' in the name, it may eventually be converted into a corporation or foundation.

Much attention has been focused on how Chairwoman Koo, known as the youngest daughter of late E1017940 Honorary Chairman Koo Pyung-hwoi and daughter-in-law of the Sajo Group, would utilize the Itaewon-dong building. The theory that she has been preparing to open a museum through the establishment of Purun CNC is gaining traction. As it is known that Chairwoman Koo has collected craft works as a hobby for over 30 years, it is highly likely that she will open a craft museum. However, Chairwoman Koo has not yet changed the building's designated usage (retail store/general restaurant) to an exhibition hall or museum.

BizHankook inquired about the matter with Purun Group, but a representative stated, "This is a private matter for the owner's family, and we have no information."
