[비즈한국] It has been confirmed that Kim Eun-jung (45), the eldest daughter of former Dongsuh026960 Group Chairman Kim Sang-hun, known for its coffee mix products, is serving as the CEO of a limited liability company. The company, named "Naite," was established in February of last year. As the former chairman's eldest son, Vice President Kim Jong-hee (48), has already been designated as the successor, it is suggested that Kim Eun-jung may be choosing an independent management path.
It has been confirmed that Kim Eun-jung, the eldest daughter of former Chairman Kim Sang-hun, is serving as the CEO of the limited liability company "Naite." According to the corporate registry, the company was established in February 2023 with a capital of 100 million KRW, and its capital increased to 4 billion KRW through three capital increases over about six months. At the time of establishment, former Chairman Kim Sang-hun, a second-generation owner of Dongsuh Group, was appointed as the representative director of Naite. Chairman Kim served as CEO for five months before resigning, at which point his daughter, Kim Eun-jung, was registered as an internal director and CEO. After handing over the CEO position to Kim Eun-jung, Advisor Kim took on an auditor role and currently holds that position.
Naite's primary business objectives include book publishing, financial investment, real estate leasing, gardening, and senior sports, rehabilitation, and nursing services. It is identified as a company engaged in diverse businesses, having added accommodation and restaurant services this past March. It is presumed that former Chairman Kim and his daughter, Kim Eun-jung, hold shares in Naite, but the exact shareholding ratio is difficult to determine. Although currently included in the Dongsuh Group's list of affiliates, it is confirmed that it holds no stakes in Dongsuh or Dongsuh Foods. As Naite appears to be a single-director board system with only Kim Eun-jung listed on the board, it is presumed that Kim Eun-jung holds a higher stake than Chairman Kim. Naite also maintains its head office in a building located in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, which is owned by the family of Chairman Kim Sang-hun.
Meanwhile, the Dongsuh Group has been run by the second-generation owners, former Chairman Kim Sang-hun and former Dongsuh Foods Chairman Kim Suk-soo, who each led the holding company Dongsuh and Dongsuh Foods, respectively, in a brotherly management partnership. Recently, as the group enters the third-generation management era, a sole management system led by the former advisor's eldest son, Vice President Kim Jong-hee, is being established. Former Chairman Kim Sang-hun's children include his eldest son, Vice President Kim Jong-hee, eldest daughter, Kim Eun-jung, and second daughter, Kim Jung-min (41), while former Chairman Kim Suk-soo's children are his eldest son, Kim Dong-wook (35), and second son, Kim Hyun-jun (32). There are five third-generation owners in total, but only Vice President Kim Jong-hee is involved in the management of Dongsuh. Furthermore, Vice President Kim holds the largest stake in Dongsuh (14.59%) among the third-generation owners. Former Chairman Kim Suk-soo holds 17.39%, former Chairman Kim Sang-hun 16.15%, Kim Eun-jung 3.76%, Kim Jung-min 3.61%, Kim Dong-wook 3.17%, and Kim Hyun-jun 2.88%.
As Dongsuh solidifies its system under third-generation leader Vice President Kim Jong-hee, the business world analyzes that Kim Eun-jung may have established Naite to pursue independent management. Regarding this, Dongsuh Group responded, "It is true that Naite is included in the current list of (Dongsuh) affiliates, but it has no equity relationship with Dongsuh, and as there are no internal transactions, we are unaware of the details regarding the businesses it operates."
