[비즈한국] ‘RUN Sense 2026’ will be held on Monday, October 5th, at the Peace Plaza in World Cup Park, Sangam, Seoul. With the slogan ‘RUN The Record, Feel The SENSE,’ RUN Sense 2026 is a running event that combines professional record tracking with a festive atmosphere.

RUN Sense 2026 offers two courses: 10km and 5km. Both courses include timing chips, allowing participants to track their official finish times. The event is designed not only for runners aiming to set new personal records but also for those who simply want to test their own pace.
The event is unique in that it highlights both ‘records’ and ‘vibes.’ While accurately measuring finish times, the event also hosts interactive programs on the main stage after the race to enhance the festival atmosphere. Following the race, a variety of participant-led events hosted by MBC comedian Kim Wan-gi will take place, and prizes will be awarded through on-site events.
Awards will also be presented. RUN Sense 2026 adds to the competitive excitement by awarding winners in each course. Since timing chips are provided for both 10km and 5km participants, they can verify their achievements based on their official records. In the 10km category, prize money and trophies will be awarded to the top five finishers (1st place: 800,000 KRW, 2nd place: 600,000 KRW, 3rd place: 400,000 KRW, 4th place: 200,000 KRW, 5th place: 100,000 KRW) for both men and women.

Participants will receive souvenirs such as a running vest and running socks. Finishers will also be provided with a finisher medal and a record confirmation service. The souvenir package may be subject to minor changes based on the organizer's circumstances.
The standard registration fee is 50,000 KRW for the 10km and 45,000 KRW for the 5km. During the pre-registration period, a 5,000 KRW discount applies, bringing the fees down to 45,000 KRW and 40,000 KRW, respectively. Pre-registration runs from 10:00 AM on July 8th to 1:00 PM on July 22nd. Applications can be submitted through the official RUN Sense 2026 website.
As the running population grows, marathons and running events are becoming increasingly segmented into record-focused races and experience-based events. RUN Sense 2026 provides timing chips for both 10km and 5km courses to ensure the basics of record tracking while also incorporating post-race festivals and prize events to make it an enjoyable experience for both beginners and seasoned runners.
The RUN Sense Secretariat stated, “RUN Sense 2026 is both a race for setting records and a festival for experiencing the emotions of running. We are preparing the event so that runners can verify their records while also enjoying the various on-site programs.”
